mmpc’s Vascular Surgery office is offering Vascular Screening on Friday, April 25, 2008. Vascular screenings are beneficial for patients who would like to be evaluated based on the following reasons:
• Family history of vascular disease
• Looking to rule out vascular disease but do not show symptoms
Screenings are offered at a minimal cost, performed by an ICAVL certified lab, and read by board certified Vascular Surgeons. The screenings offered include:
• Carotid Ultrasound - checks for blockage in the neck
• Aorta Ultrasound - checks for possible aneurysm
• Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) - checks for blockage in the legs
