Patient Instructions
Many of the lab tests you may have done require you to fast. In order to ensure the validity of your lab results, you must not eat after the evening meal (or after 6 p.m.) When you wake up in the morning, you may drink water, but do not eat breakfast or drink coffee prior to having your blood drawn.

When you report to the drawing station of your choice, please be sure to have your laboratory requisition or script with your physician’s orders attached.

Insurance Coverage
Michigan Medical, P.C. (mmpc®) Laboratory Services accepts most insurance plans. However, if you have any of the following insurances, you will not be able to have your lab work done at any of our facilities.
  • Blue Care Network
  • Blue Cross PPO
  • Care Choices
  • Messa PPO
  • Messa Choices
  • Preferred Choices

We will courtesy bill your insurance company. However, you may receive invoices for co-pays, deductibles or balances that will be your responsibility. Check with your insurance plan for participating laboratories.

Laboratory Accreditation
Our lab is accredited by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation (COLA) and CLIA certified (License #23D0379442).
