Patient Education | Return To Running

Day 1
Run ½ mile on soft even ground.
Ice before and after

Day 2
Run ½ to ¾ mile on soft even ground

Day 3
Cross train only (bike/swim)

Day 4-5
Run 1 mile each day

Day 6
Cross train only (bike/swim ect.)

Day 7-8
Run 2 mile each day

If at any point you develop pain stop running and go back to the previous level of running.

If no pain has developed at this point, patient may increase running by 2 mile increments taking 1day rest or cross train every 3rd day.   If pain returns at any point activity must be cut back or stopped until pain resolves.
