Employee Development and Growth:
mmpc recognizes that in order to retain and challenge our work force we need to invest time and energy to allow our employees to gain new knowledge, keep their skills strong and current, and continually learn the best ways to service our patients. In order to achieve these goals mmpc provides the following:
Transfer opportunities:
mmpc fills 30+% of our vacant positions internally. This allows our employees to seek new challenges within mmpc sites.
Promotions:
Because we fill so many positions internally, we are able to provide ample opportunities for employees who
are qualified and have the desire and the ability to seek job promotions.………………………………………………………………………..
mmpc University:
We developed a “university” to enable all mmpc staff to receive ongoing education and training opportunities. We presented all attendees with their very own mmpc university tee-shirt. The first year of inception all employees received a ½ day of training on customer service, dignity and respect in the workplace, and an overview of our intranet. We plan to continue the university forum so we can provide training on an ongoing basis to all employees.
Site Surveys and Patient Surveys:
We provide a statistical survey to all of our patients yearly. This large undertaking helps us achieve our mission of “People working as a team to provide the best possible healthcare and service.” With this feedback, we work hard to improve our service delivery every year. We are proud to say our surveys have yielded excellent results, but we always look ahead to how we can achieve even higher satisfaction scores for our patients.
We also do internal surveys to make sure our employees are enjoying their work environment, and that they have the tools they need to do their jobs to the best of their ability.
Performance Reviews:
All of our new employees receive a 90-day review, and then yearly performance reviews after that. These reviews often involve feedback from many sources, including peers, managers, and physicians. The review reflects many aspects of an employee’s work performance, as well as customer service, cooperation, initiative, and teamwork to name a few.
New Employee Orientation:
All of our new employees will attend a full day of orientation within their first 30 days of employment. All clinical staff will receive another ½ day of clinical competencies.
Educational and Training Reimbursement:
There is a yearly continuing education allotment provided to all clinical staff. The corporation may also provide opportunities for educational seminars and conferences for clinical and non clinical staff to attend.
